  1. Murray on tomorrow's order of play

Andy Murray looked like he would prefer a day off tomorrow. Instead he will get another chance to compete. His second-round match against Matteo Berrettini is one of those picked out for play on Wednesday.

We will be live-texting that doozie, but you can of course watch all the day's play live on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app.

Right now, second seed Denis Shapovalov is taking on Aleksandar Vukic on the main stage. All square in the early part of the first set.

Get stuck in and see you tomorrow...

  2. 'I love it....'

This was the moment where Andy Murray's passion for the fight shone through in the post-match interview...

  3. It's the player's decision

    Former GB Davis Cup captain

A lot of people, particularly when they see great players start to lose matches, the reaction is 'they should get out now'.

    It's not their decision.

It's the player's decision - not the press or the public.

Andy Murray: "Thebody's old! But I did quite well today in terms of my movement. It's myfirst match on grass in three years and I've only played three or four practicesets in the build-p to this so I didn't know exactly how I was going to play orfeel but I think for a first match it was good.

"Look Ilove playing tennis.... sorry [crowd cheers, voice breaks with emotion]...obviouslycompeting is why you out all the hard work.

"The lastfew years I've not go to do that as much as I would have liked so, yeah justgreat that I'm out here and able to compete again.

"Berrettini is obviously a top player, top seed here. Had areally strong French Open. need to play one level up from today if I want to dowell there."

  5. Matteo Berrettini next for Murray

    Murray 6-3 6-2 Paire

Murray will be up against top seed Matteo Berrettini in the next round. The Italian world number nine took a set off Novak Djokovic in the quarter-finals of the French Open last week.

  6. Post update

    Murray 6-3 6-2 Paire

Andy Murray comes to the interview point. He gives a pretty routine answer about how his body is holding up pretty well.

But then is asked how he has missed competing, and Murray chokes up as he tries to answer.

He really has missed this stage.

  7. Game, set and match Murray

    Murray 6-3 6-2 Paire

Andy Murray high-fives Benoit Paire at the net, waves to all four stands and flops into his courtside seat.

Benoit Paire, who looks a little like Olivier Giroud I've just realised, trudges off stage right...

  8. Three match points Murray

    *Murray 6-3 5-2 Paire

Benoit Paire against Nick Kyrgios would be a match with zero somethings given. The Frenchman tanks his way to 40-0 and three match points for Andy Murray.

  9. Murray breaks

    *Murray 6-3 5-2 Paire

    Well, well, well.

Murray misses his first break point, but is given a second when Benoit Paire very sportingly calls to say that the Scot's return was on the line rather than out, as the line-judge called.

And Murray reels in the second with another wicked return, jagged across court, that Paire can only get a chunk of frame on.

  10. Break point Murray

    Murray 6-3 4-2 *Paire

Benoit Paire loses a foxy point of cat-and-mouse...break point Murray...

  11. Paire taken to deuce

    Murray 6-3 4-2 *Paire

Roll up, roll up. Benoit's big top is erected on Queen's Club centre stage.

First, a dead-eyed drop-shot of casual brilliance. Then, a less-clever tweener in the front court that Murray pats back past him for a winner.

    Anyway, we are to deuce...

  12. Murray holds

    Murray 6-3 4-2 *Paire

Benoit Paire is swinging for the fence now.

Big all-or-nothing, death-or-glory groundstrokes. He blasts long to give away 30-0.

But he catches Andy Murray out with a return right up on his toes for 30-30.

Big point. The umpire overrules the line judge, calling a ball out on the Murray baseline. Paire challenges. But the video replay shows the man in the high chair is bang on.

Murray makes his escape. He is a couple of games away from round two.

  13. Murray breaks

    *Murray 6-3 3-2 Paire

Both men celebrate as Andy Murray's stretching backhand pass lands.

Was it in? As Andy Murray thinks. Or wide of the whitewash? As Paire suggests.

Time to go to the gods. The video review team crank the computer into live and the virtual replay says....IN!

Break to Murray and it might be the back broken of the Paire challenge.

  14. Two break points Murray

    Murray 6-3 2-2 *Paire

Trouble up mill for the bristly Paire as he dollies up an over-cooked drop-shot that Murray saw coming from midway through last week.

    That's 0-30.

And a duff forehand into the bottom of the net makes it 15-40 and two break points to Andy Murray.

  15. Murray holds

    Murray 6-3 2-2 *Paire

Andy Murray gets a stooping forehand to spit and skid, giving Benoit Paire all sort of questions to answer. The Frenchman is stumped and it is 30-0.

Paire comes to the party better prepared though as he reads a serve down the middle and swipes a winner back past Murray for 30-30.

A little pressure on the Murray tee-off. Creak, squeak.

Murray digs a second serve into Paire's ribs though and then lures him long over the baseline to get over the line.

Mike Henson on keys by the way after Ros' excellent cameo.

  16. Paire with the flair...

    * Murray 6-3 1-2 Paire

A deft backhand down the line from Paire, who shows a bit of French flair when he is made to trundle about the court.

Murray tries to show him how a lob should be, but is just tantalisingly wide - the crowd groans, as do we...

And in a little anticlimax - Paire just closes out a comfortable hold and looks to be making this a bit of a contest..

  17. Murray holds from 30-0 down - phew!

    Murray 6-3 1-1 Paire *

A little unlucky for Murray, swiftly down a couple of points on his serve at the start of the game.

He gets a point on the board and is gifted with another errant forehand by the Frenchman to right the ship.

Murray wins the battle of the sliced backhands to gain the upper hand.

A great turn of speed from Murray for a cheeky drop-shot and oh, the audacity - Paire tries to out-lob the master.

    He fails though!

  18. Paire starts with a hold

    * Murray 6-3 0-1 Paire

Play to the server's speed so the crowd decide to help by taking their time to sit down to stop Paire racing through his service games.

It works as it gives Murray a chance to get a point back!

The Frenchman bangs down a couple of big serves but also shows some deft moves, finishing with a great little cross-court pick-up - great feel at the net from Paire.

  19. Changeover x2

    Murray 6-3 0-0 *Paire

As the players take a sip of isotonic and a sit-down, there is a little swap in the (entirely metaphorical) text commentary box.

Ros Satar is here to take you through the first bit of the second set. Over to you Ros.

  20. Game and first set Murray

    Murray 6-3 *Paire

Andy Murray has a big wedge of court to aim at at 15-0 up, but contrives to find the net with Benoit Paire not even in shot.

Paire steps in and hammers away a return winner off the second serve for 15-30.

Andy Murray trains fire on the Frenchman's weaker forehand though to move to 40-30.

    Set point.

What a time to pull the big ace down the middle out of the quiver! An absolute blur of a serve. And the first set is in the bag...
